First, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank many of you who have been in touch to offer you support and thoughts over the last few weeks. In the wake of the recent fires in Northern California, we realize the national media has left most people with the wrong impression. 96% of the acreage in the four counties affected, did not burn. In fact, most of Napa Valley and Sonoma County were left unscathed!
As a result, almost all of the wineries, restaurants, and hotels here in Wine Country are open and are waiting to welcome you, and at Beau Wine Tours we’re looking forward to showing you the best that Wine Country has to offer.
Wineries
We are fully operational and are ready and waiting to show “our wine country” in both Napa Valley and Sonoma County. In the Napa Valley, wine tours and tastings in Carneros, Oakville, Calistoga, and Howell Mountain await you. In Sonoma County Alexander Valley, Dry Creek Valley, and the Russian River Valley are open for business.
Restaurants
There was great news for the Wine Country restaurant scene last week as new stars were awarded to a restaurant in each county. Single Thread Restaurant in Healdsburg was awarded two Michelin stars, while Kenzo Restaurant in Napa was awarded one star. Both of these join an illustrious line up of Michelin starred restaurants in Sonoma and Napa Valley who all retained their stars.
Our friends in Sonoma, Mark & Terri Stark, lost their famed Willi’s Wine Bar to the Tubbs Fire that affected Santa Rosa. Their other restaurants in Sonoma County are open for business and if you’re looking for a great dining option their five restaurants give you lots of options!
Another Sonoma restaurant that deserves your support is Valette in Healdsburg with Chef Dustin Valette’s father having worked hard recently with Cal Fire as they fought the recent fires. In addition, Dustin and his team fed countless first responders at his restaurant for days on end.
Hotels
It’s the perfect time to visit Wine Country with hotels, bed and breakfasts and resorts looking to welcome you. Whether it’s the laid back luxury of resorts like Solage in Calistoga, the charm of the Harvest Inn in St. Helena or the eco-luxury of Bardessono in Yountville there’s something for everyone.
Please join us this Fall as we celebrate the end of Harvest with our fantastic Mediterranean weather! Winter follows with the romantic start of Cabernet Season in Napa Valley. The best way anyone can help our local wine and hospitality community is to visit us! Our world renowned wineries, hotels, spas, and restaurants are open for business, and we truly welcome you back!
Call us today, and let’s talk about that trip you have been planning for wine country, or your corporate outing for the end of the year. We are offering wonderful incentives for tours and transportation booked now through January 31st.
