Promontory Winery

Promontory, a winegrowing endeavor taken on by the infamous Harlan Family, lies hidden beyond the southwestern borderlands of Oakville. In the early 1980s while hiking along Oakville’s southwestern ridge, H. William Harlan discovered an isolated territory. The hidden expanse moved him deeply, but remained elusive until the Harlan family finally captured it in 2008. As the second generation explored and worked with the land, they began to make discoveries of their own. At the core of this wild terrain they found a powerful geologic convergence, which had shaped its steep, rugged topography, and created the conditions for an altogether exotic winegrowing environment. Over time they found that the dramatic landscape would slowly change them, and ultimately inspire a new endeavor: Promontory.

While not open to the public, Promontory accepts visitors by appointment. Allow our team at Beau Wine Tours to assist you with booking this incredible experience!

Waterfront Seafood Grill – Napa

Waterfront Seafood Grill, owned by Matt Cordeiro, situated in downtown Napa, has reinvigorated the dining scene along Napa’s riverfront. The restaurant specializes in seafood and emphasizes classic seafood dishes prepared with fresh ingredients. Executive Chef Jesus Mendez, who has garnered a glowing reputation for his 21-year tenure working under Greg Cole/Coles Chophouse, leads the restaurant’s culinary team. The restaurant boasts an airy design, including indoor and outdoor dining options, a robust bar serving the entire menu, and a clever pass-through section offering six outdoor seats for optimal frontage views.

The menu features a raw bar selection highlighting caviar, oysters, crab, shrimp, and a range of appetizers, such as the Spicy Ahi Poke or Steamed Mussels. The main courses are equally popular, with dishes such as Grilled King Salmon served with Picholine Salsa Verde, Pan-Roasted Main Scallops with Cabernet Demi-Glace and Chardonnay Cream Sauce, or Waterfront Cioppino, a seafood stew that features prawns, clams, mussels, crab, and salmon served in a spicy tomato sauce. For those still deciding, the Mixed Seafood Platter, which showcases a generous sampling of fresh grilled lobster, scallops, and prawns, is always a wise choice. The menu also features daily fresh catch, pasta, steaks, and chops, with a broad selection of side dishes.

Due to the high demand for riverfront tables, reservations are recommended.
