Nothing makes a day like a few tiny bubbles. If you’re in to sparkling wine, then the Napa Valley is the place to be. Not just home to its famous cabernets, Napa Valley is home to some “bubbly” wineries that are sure to add a little sparkle to your glass!
Perched on a high hill right off the main highway with breathtaking views of the vineyard and the Vaca Mountains, Domaine Carneros is quintessential wine country. Situated in the Carneros appellation of Northern California, the 138-acre estate is nestled on the border between the Napa and Sonoma counties at their southern extremity. The estate’s vineyards extend up a hill to a crest overlooking San Francisco and San Pablo Bay. From the beginning, Domaine Carneros built a reputation on sparkling wines, in particular the Brut Vintage and luxury cuvee, Le Rêve Blanc de Blancs. Complimenting the wines, charcuterie and cheese plates or salmon and caviar can be savored in the Louis XV-inspired salon or terrace overlooking the vineyards. The tour at Domaine Carneros covers traditional methods of making sparkling wines, from the vineyard to the bottle.
The main château and terrace are open 10am-6pm, daily.

Domaine Chandon’s story begins in 1973 when it became the first French owned sparkling wine venture in United States. The parent company Moët & Chandon, the famed French Champagne maker, was looking for other areas of the world to make high quality sparkling wine and put down firm roots in the Napa Valley. The grounds greet you upon arrival, full of trees, flowers and an abundance of wildlife. Tastings of their many different variations from dry Bruts to fruity Rosé take place in the decidedly contemporary Tasting Lounge from 10am-4:30pm. Looking to soak up the sun? Make a reservation on their terrace with panoramic views of the surrounding grounds and order étoile brut, tiny bubbles with just the right notes of sweet along with a generous meat and cheese board.
As the only fine dining restaurant within a Napa Valley winery, étoile Restaurant offers an experience of collaboration between the culinary team and winemakers, which results in a unique dining experience unlike any other.
