San Francisco to Sonoma Valley Wine Tour
– 8 Hour Day –
World-class wine in an informal, rustic setting—that’s what you can expect when traveling with us from San Francisco to Sonoma Valley. Sonoma Valley is the closest wine region to San Francisco, just 45 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Our San Francisco to Sonoma wine tours will take you on a scenic tour across the Golden Gate Bridge and into Sonoma Valley for a full day (8 hours) of wine tasting and relaxation.
For those wishing to capture the day on film, we’ll detour up towards the Marin Headlands for a spectacular panoramic shot of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Pacific Ocean. Capture another shot of Tiburon, Angel Island, and the San Francisco Bay before heading out of town. Then, relax in style and comfort as you head out on your San Francisco to Sonoma wine tour.
Sonoma Valley is the birthplace of California’s wine industry. Quaint farms, rolling vineyards, and 13,000 acres of scenic parkland encompass the majority of the Sonoma Valley. For the avid historian, the eight-acre Sonoma Plaza is a National Historic Landmark located in the center of town. Carefully preserved adobe buildings are surrounded by large shade trees. Travel just up the road to Glen Ellen and you can visit the property where author Jack London lived and wrote. It’s now an 800-acre state historic park.
We’ll pack a picnic lunch so you can enjoy a peaceful meal with a front row seat overlooking miles of lush vineyards. Top off your day with a dessert wine before the short ride back to the city. Our local, seasoned tour guides are excited to show you the best that Sonoma Valley has to offer. Enjoy!
