Beau Wine Tours loves to create the best wine country vacation for each of our guests and tour groups. We have many riches to choose from – renowned Napa wineries, restaurants rated among the best in the world, and access to natural beauty, not to mention fine art galleries and sculpture collections.
But throughout the year, Napa Valley also hosts a handful of exclusive, once-in-a-lifetime events! For those who plan to visit in March, it’s well worth a look at the line-up for Yountville Live, a festival celebration of music, wine, and fine cuisine.
Tickets are available for March 15 to 18 of 2018. Different packages offer access to great events, artists, chefs, and featured wineries. Below, we’ve highlighted some of our favorite parts of this year’s festival!
Things kick off Thursday, March 15 with a welcome reception and performance by Foy Vance, but that’s just the beginning. The next three days include a gala, meals and cooking demonstrations with celebrity chefs, and musical performances with today’s top acts. Friday night’s Red Carpet Gala alone is sure to make this your best wine country vacation—it includes a four-course meal prepared by a James Beard award winner, and a performance by the world-famous X Ambassadors! But get your beauty rest, because the Taste of Yountville runs both Saturday and Sunday; so many restaurants and wineries are participating that the event needs three pavilions to squeeze them all in! While you sample and sip, enjoy music from eighteen different performers, and when you’re ready for a more in-depth experience, try a Grand Cru tasting or cooking demo. Make sure you save some energy for the late night VIP events Friday and Saturday!
Make this trip your best wine country vacation with a seat at an intimate Eight-at-Eight dinner on Thursday, March 15! It’s the best way to see an up-and-coming performer at Yountville Live. Choose from a number of participating Yountville locations, where each dinner is limited to thirty guests and prepared by a premier chef with course-by-course pairings of local wines! These dinner events are limited to VIP pass holders, but it’s worth it – check out the soulful acoustics of Marc Broussard, or the classic, gritty country from Logan Brill, among a stellar roster of other rising stars. You can also catch established acts like NEEDTOBREATHE at the Bubbles Brunch, and Kingsborough at the late-night VIP event on Saturday.
Stephanie Izard tops an impressive list of chefs, leading the pack with her recent Iron Chef Challenge win—not to mention three successful, award-winning restaurants. Some of Napa Valley’s best will be preparing cuisine throughout the weekend, including Chef Cindy Pawlcyn of Mustard’s Grill, Frederico Guillen of Celadon, and many others.
But we haven’t forgotten your sweet tooth! Chocolatier Chris Kollar will offer chocolate-making demonstrations – which include tastings, of course! These talented professionals are sure to make your visit the best, and most delicious, wine country vacation.
Your ultimate wine country getaway wouldn’t be complete without the wine! A number of Napa Valley’s finest vintners are offering samples, flights, and tastings of their best bottles. Charles Krug—celebrating their 75th anniversary this year!—will furnish pairings for the Red Carpet Gala dinner. There are too many fine wineries to list them all here, but the roster includes Napa Valley mainstays like Robert Mondavi and Far Niente, as well as relative newcomers like Handwritten and Odette. In short, festival guests will be treated to some of the finest bottlings available today. For true connoisseurs, the Grand Cru Tasting (available Saturday and Sunday) will offer exclusive selections from sixteen winemakers.
If your best wine country vacation includes top musical acts, award-winning chefs, and exclusive flights of premium wines, let Beau Wine Tours help you plan your Yountville Live itinerary today!
