Pawsport Napa Valley is an annual event to benefit Napa Humane that includes 15 wineries and offers the best Napa wine tour for you and your four-legged friends! Pawsports provide four days of wine tasting in the beautiful Napa Valley at award-winning wineries, with special discounts on wine purchases for you and special treats for both you and your canine companion. The event runs from May 18 – 21 in Napa Valley, and best of all, benefits the Napa Humane!
Follow the Pawsport map to plan your best Napa wine tour: Start in Calistoga at Tamber Bey Vineyards for a seated wine tasting with a view of their gorgeous grounds, then visit Clos Pegase Winery for chocolate (and wine) tasting, and Dutch Henry Winery for a meet and greet with the winery’s dog!
Moving south through the best of Napa Valley, from St. Helena to Rutherford, are five more amazing wine-tasting locations! Pawsport holders can call ahead to try a seated tasting in Merryvale Vineyards’ tank room, then visit HALL Winery to taste wine from the barrel and snag organic dog treats for Fido. At the Flora Springs location The Room, grab a “doggie bag” full of treats for humans and pups, then skip over to Franciscan Estate to sip by the winery’s gorgeous fountains. Swing by the Rutherford Ranch Winery for a wine and cheese pairing while your furry friend frolics under century-old Oaks.
For more of Napa Valley’s best wine, stop by Consentino Winery in Yountville for outdoor tasting and a complimentary dog treat, and then Trefethen Family Vineyards, which will host a VIP area for pups and their peeps!
In the city of Napa, try the Napa General Store for both wine tasting and treats for you and your four-legged friend! Just a short drive south, Pawsport holders can be wine club members for a day at Madonna Estate and enter to win a prize for their pooch, and nearby Cuvaison Winery will offer seated wine tastings in their Carneros tasting room. Check out Starmont Winery and Vineyards for wine tasting in the vineyard, and Jamieson Ranch Vineyards too for outdoor tastings humans and pups can both enjoy.
But you don’t have to have a canine tasting companion to attend – everyone is welcome, and Designated Driver tickets are available for a lower cost. (Some wineries do require reservations, so be sure to visit each winery online to plan your Napa Valley wine tour.)
