HdV is a combination of California and France’s best winemaking efforts. The venture between the Hyde Family of Napa Valley and the de Villaine Family of Burgundy’s Domaine de la Romanée-Conti isn’t based entirely in wine, the families are also related by marriage. They both share long and illustrious histories in winemaking. The focus for both families has always been creating single vineyard wines of distinction, and at HdV the wines are sourced exclusively from the rolling slopes of the Hyde Vineyard in Carneros. The single vineyard wines sourced from the Hyde Vineyard have been recognized for over 25 years as some of the best in the country. Combining this terroir with the strict adherence to French philosophies of wine making, result in a wine that is reflective of the best efforts from across the world of wine.
The legendary Larry Hyde and his eponymous vineyard have a long history of fine wines, learn more about how HdV wines became a part of this delicious Napa Valley tradition.

Thirty years after Girard planted their first vineyard, the team continues to garner acclaim for great wines at a great price from critics and fans alike. The winery’s focus has always been on the rich and supple grapes of the Napa Valley, but also sources from the upscale Russian River Valley in Sonoma, where the weather is perfect for Chardonnay. They make single varieties and blends, reds and whites, but one of the most popular is the 2013 Old Vine Zinfandel. Every wine tasting should include this gem! Sourced from Calistoga and aged in French, American, and Hungarian oak, the ripe fruit flavors are perfectly balanced by a full exposure of oak spice from vanilla to a smoky spiciness.
