2920 Spring Mountain Rd, St Helena, CA 94574

Their name inspiration comes from a character in an old Italian comedy troupe that inspired Cirque du Soleil. Fantesca was the only female character and was described as “Sexy, Smart and Unpretentious.” They knew there they’d found their name. Steeped in rich history from it’s origins with Caroline Bale (wife of Charles Krug), through owners Susan & Duane Hoff and winemaker Heidi Barrett, the property has a proud history of women that live up to their Fantesca namesake’s character: “Sexy, Smart, and Unpretentious.” The winery is located in the Spring Mountain district above St Helena secluded amongst the oak trees and deep in the morning fog. When the sun comes out, the sun dances off the rolling vineyard views.

They’re known for their Chardonnay and estate grown Cabernet Sauvignon. Mark your calendars in October for their only annual event, open to wine club members, “Hands on Harvest.” It is an elevated wine tour experience giving you a change to meet owners, wine maker and be a part of harvest. Fantesca is not open to the public for wine tasting, but on our Collector’s Tour, we offer special wine tours to places like Fantesca. We will work closely with their experience manager to plan an unforgettable wine tasting, cave tour and tastes of Heidi Barrett’s special blends.

caldwellCaldwell Vineyard
270 Kreuzer Ln, Napa, CA 94559
(707) 255-1294

The drive into Caldwell, up the side of a sun-drenched mountain just outside Napa, is utterly breathtaking. You’re on a hilltop, 500 feet above sea level in the heart of Coombsville, Napa Valley’s newest AVA. To the north is an endless view of Napa Valley, framed by the Mayacamas mountains to the west and the Vaca mountain range to the east. At your feet is a sprawling 123-acre ranch, 60-acres of grapevine rows. This is Caldwell Vineyard. Once inside, you’ll often be tasting with legendary owner John Caldwell himself in the 20,000 square foot wine tasting cave. You’ll follow him into the cave where you’ll be surrounded on all sides by wine barrels as he leads you into a candlelit cove where the table has been set for the tasting. You’ll sit with Caldwell for two hours listening to his stories, anecdotes while the time and wines fly-by.

With 28 different clone-specific grape varieties, Caldwell has the distinction of being one of the first U.S. wineries with its own on-site barrel cooperage, something only seven other wineries in the world can say. He is the man responsible for introducing the most prized Bordeaux root stock and grapevine clones to California.

quixoteQuixote Winery
6126 Silverado Trail, Napa, CA 94558
(707) 944-2659

Quixote Winery had been called “whimsical” and “eccentric.” To those who have experienced Quixote’s architecture and breathtaking surroundings in the hillsides of the Stags Leap District appellation, the 42-acre wine-producing property is a world all its own. Designed by the world-famous, free-spirited Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser, the winery is the only Hundertwasser building in the United States.

The property is home to 29 acres of vineyard in a highly sought after and uniquely secluded part of Stags Leap, planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Malbec, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc. They offer a couple of different wine tasting and wine tour options. There is a lot of hospitality they pack into their one hour wine tasting. Both their Stags Leap District tasting and their three year vertical of Reserve Petite Sirah include a tour of the incredible building followed by seated tasting with cheese. Or enjoy the amazing surrounding with a wine tasting and tour on a hike through the vineyards.
