Napa Valley Wineries – Viader Wines

Located 1200 feet above the Napa Valley floor on the steep, rocky slopes of Howell Mountain is Viader Vineyards. Founded in 1986, Viader is recognized around the world for consistently producing award winning, very limited production red wines and red Bordeaux-style blends. The vines at this winery are oriented up and down steep hillsides, a design popular in Europe, but rare in California. This planting method optimizes sun exposure, vine density and erosion control. Their signature wine is a blend of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Viader Vineyards is a thriving family business comprised of a small bonded winery, underground caves, a hospitality center and a wine and food pairing culinary program.
