Napa Valley Wineries – Arkenstone Vineyards

Initially a wildlife oasis for animals including bear, coyote and mountain lion, Arkenstone Vineyards owners Ron and Susan Krausz only realized the land’s vineyard potential after a friend encouraged them to have their soil tested. Although the vines initially struggled to become established, once mature, the intensely flavored berries are well balanced and help produce complex wines. This vineyard is organically farmed and the wine team is constantly learning and implementing new techniques for building up organic material in the soil. This mountain retreat still holds much of its original feel and visitors will not only experience great wine, but natural beauty and charm.
