We’re knee deep in summer here in the Napa Valley, which means harvest is right around the corner. This is a time of year when wineries open up their doors with special harvest time experiences including grape stomps, reserve wine flights, one of a kind food pairings and more. Why not come and enjoy some of these can’t miss August events with us!

Hall WinesTaste of HALL: Foodies Vacation
August 7th, 2016

Join HALL for a unique culinary experience as local chefs will pair seasonal food with recently released HALL vintages. This month’s theme will be “A Foodies Vacation” and will feature 2013 HALL ‘Kathryn Hall’ Cabernet Sauvignon. HALL’s estate vineyards encompass more than 500 acres of classic Bordeaux varieties, the majority of which are Cabernet Sauvignon. Through their tireless work in the vineyards, they are able to express the unique and diverse character of Napa Valley’s soil and climate. See their full wine list here.

Additionally, luxury stemware brand, Riedel, has joined the series of events as its title sponsor. Guests will learn how to select appropriate stemware for various varietals, and leave the workshop with A Taste of HALL wine glass etched by our friends at Riedel.

InglenookHarvest Party at Inglenook
August 13th, 2016

Join Inglenook for their “Fire and Wine” Harvest Party Event, the party of the year at Inglenook, AND the only ticketed event that is open to the public! Enjoy their wines paired with a broad array of dishes cooked over the open flame. Warm yourself by the fire pits, enjoy the fire dancer performances, and then dance the night away to a live band.

Francis Ford Coppola’s Napa Valley winery boasts beautiful vineyard Estate grounds, tours of the stately mansion complete with a museum of Hollywood memoirs, information on grape grafting, cultivation and barreling and memorable wine tasting options of their famous wines. Long Meadow RanchLong Meadow Ranch: Live Fire Series – Chef John Currence

Gather around the Farmstead fire pit alongside the Long Meadow Ranch culinary team and guest Chef John Currence as they roast, smoke and sear a family style feast served right from the flames. This multi-course, family style menu with features wine pairings from Long Meadow Ranch.

Chef John Currence was recipient of both Restaurateur Of The Year and Chef Of The Year awards from the Mississippi Restaurant Association in 1998. In 2006, he received the Southern Foodways Alliance Guardian of Tradition Award and won the 2008 Great American Seafood Cookoff in New Orleans. In 2009, he was awarded the James Beard Foundation award for Best Chef South and was a winner of Charleston Food and Wine Festival’s Iron Chef Challenge.

Each ticket purchase will include a complimentary ticket to their Bluegrass-fed concert, featuring Fruition, directly following the dinner. Bring a blanket, purchase an extra bottle of wine and settle on lawn in the heart of Napa Valley for dinner and a show!

It’s grape stomping season! During the beginning of harvest season, many wineries throughout Napa Valley host grape stomping events, where guests compete to extract grape juice with their feet. Here is your Lucy moment. Grab your partner and join Peju Vineyards fun-filled afternoon of stomping grapes with your feet. Team participation is encouraged and those with the best costumes and team t-shirts will win prizes. After the grape stomp, enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by their Executive Chef Alex.
