This is a time of year when wineries open up their doors with special harvest time experiences including grape stomps, reserve wine flights, one of a kind food pairings and more. Hall WinesTaste of HALL: Foodies Vacation

Join HALL for a unique culinary experience as local chefs will pair seasonal food with recently released HALL vintages. This month’s theme will be “A Foodies Vacation” and will feature 2013 HALL ‘Kathryn Hall’ Cabernet Sauvignon. HALL’s estate vineyards encompass more than 500 acres of classic Bordeaux varieties, the majority of which are Cabernet Sauvignon. Through their tireless work in the vineyards, they are able to express the unique and diverse character of Napa Valley’s soil and climate. See their full wine list here.

Additionally, luxury stemware brand, Riedel, has joined the series of events as its title sponsor. Guests will learn how to select appropriate stemware for various varietals, and leave the workshop with A Taste of HALL wine glass etched by our friends at Riedel.

Gather around the Farmstead fire pit alongside the Long Meadow Ranch culinary team and guest Chef John Currence as they roast, smoke and sear a family style feast served right from the flames. This multi-course, family style menu with features wine pairings from Long Meadow Ranch.

Chef John Currence was recipient of both Restaurateur Of The Year and Chef Of The Year awards from the Mississippi Restaurant Association in 1998. In 2006, he received the Southern Foodways Alliance Guardian of Tradition Award and won the 2008 Great American Seafood Cookoff in New Orleans. In 2009, he was awarded the James Beard Foundation award for Best Chef South and was a winner of Charleston Food and Wine Festival’s Iron Chef Challenge.
