The Winery

markham vineyardToday, Markham Vineyards owns 350 acres of vineyards strategically located in several of Napa Valley’s best growing regions. From its Calistoga vineyards in the north to Oak knoll in the south, Markham has the luxury of hand-selecting grapes from several diverse microclimates to achieve its balanced and rich wines. Stop by the Markham Vineyards Visitor Center during your wine country adventure. Enjoy tasting their estate and winery-only wines while viewing the latest rock ‘n roll exhibit in the art gallery by legendary Rolling Stone photographer Baron Wolman. Tours and tastings are also available by appointment so you can get a closer look at one of Napa Valley’s oldest continuously working wineries.

The Wine

markham wineMarkham boasts 4 vineyards throughout the valley producing exceptional wine. Their Calistoga Ranch Vineyard produces nine different Cabernet selections and two Petit Verdot selections. Since the 1970s, this ranch has had a history of producing amazing Bordeaux varietals for Markham Vineyards. The Yountville vineyards is where Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cab Franc thrive. Trubody Ranch Vineyard is home to Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and is the place where the staff plays with smaller “tasting room only” bottles of Pinot Noir! At their southern-most ranch, of Oak Knoll Vineyards, they grow seventy acres of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot in relatively equal proportions. They truly have something for everyone!

The Wine Maker

Kimberlee Nicholls is excited to welcome guests to the Winter Winemaker Lobster Feed to introduce new and old to her chosen selections. Kimberlee is part of a select group of women winemakers in Napa Valley. She has been making wine at Markham for over 20 years and her experienced palate and true to type varietal expression, shows it!
