Since 1914, the Peterson family has called this vineyard “home”. At the mouth of the Dutch Henry Canyon, this 100-acre farm was historically used as a plum orchard. But in 1990 the land was dedicated to vineyards and now currently are home to 18 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petite Sirah vines. John Peterson actually planted the 50+-year-old block of Petite Sirah on the farm as a child! The 2013 Napa Valley Petite Sirah from the family vineyard is loaded with blackberry pie in the bouquet with a mouth coating texture on the palate. Renowned winemaker Bob Foley perfectly integrated natural acidity and chewy but pleasant tannins that combine for a gorgeous and long lasting finish. Only 700 or so cases of this 100% Petite Sirah were made, and we can help make sure you get a chance to know this wine better.
