InglenookInglenook
1991 St Helena Hwy, Rutherford, CA 94573
(800) 782-4266
www.inglenook.com

Full of wine country and Hollywood history. Inglenook is one of our showstopper suggestions. The winery was founded in 1879 by a Finnish Sea Captain Gustave Niebaum. Niebaum died in 1908 and the winery was shut down during Prohibition. Upon repeal of Prohibition, Niebaum’s widow Suzanne Niebaum reopened Inglenook and brought in a viticulturist and an enologist to upgrade the winemaking system. More than 1,500 acres of the property were acquired by Francis Ford Coppola in 1975 with profits of his film, The Godfather. Coppola combined his name with the original owner, naming the facility Niebaum-Coppola Estate Winery. Coppola later renamed it the Rubicon Estate Winery. In 2011 Francis Ford Coppola acquired the iconic Inglenook trademark, paying more, he said, than he had for the entire estate and announced that the estate would once again be known by its historic name, Inglenook.

Inglenook is sight to be seen. Upon arrival to the grand estate, take a moment to take in the beautiful views of sweeping vineyards and the Mayacamas Mountains rising up behind the historic winery. Savor the grandeur of Inglenook wines, while enjoying an interactive discussion with one of their wine tasting educators in the splendor of the Pennino Salon. Guests can enjoy a seated tasting of Estate wines; including their flagship wine Rubicon, paired with artisan cheese. But when in Napa Valley why not fully immerse yourself in the experience and take a wine tour! Explore the rich Inglenook legacy of winemaking that began in the late 1800s and continues to the present day. Guests are escorted on a tour of the Chateau, vineyards, and Infinity caves, culminating in one of our private caves for a seated tasting paired with a selection of artisan cheeses.

Looking to break out on your own? Visitors who prefer a more leisurely tasting experience can relax at The Bistro. The Bistro offers a comfortable, friendly setting reminiscent of a European café. Sip indoors or savor an al fresco moment in the Parisian courtyard by the reflecting pool. The Bistro offers wines by the glass or by the bottle.
