No Napa Valley wine country tour is complete without sampling the best of what our region has to offer, both in the glass and on your plate! While there’s no shortage of wineries or restaurants to choose from, half the fun we have when we create our guests’ itineraries is in finding the best fit for each visitor’s tastes.
At Beau Wine Tours, we make it our job to find the top producers and dining experiences for every palate. If you prefer the rich, flavorful tradition of French cuisine, we definitely have you covered. Below, join us on a virtual visit to some of our favorite French restaurants in the Napa Valley.
Angéle
540 Main St
Napa, CA 94559
(707) 252-8115
A great spot for history buffs and anyone who likes a view, Angéle is right on the Napa River waterfront, serving up “refined bistro fare” and fresh, seasonal cocktails! Enjoy everything from classics like French Onion Soup and Boeuf Bourguignon to wine-country staples like black truffles and artisan cheeses, all served in a dining room that was a ship’s chandlery more than a hundred years ago. And don’t miss dessert! Standouts like the banana gratin and Meyer lemon tart are worth saving room for on your next Napa Valley wine country tour.
La Toque
1314 McKinstry St
Napa, CA 94559
(707) 257-5157
Recipient of a Michelin Star and The Wine Spectator’s Grand Award for both service and wine selection, La Toque focuses on the importance of wine pairings in fine dining. Chef Ken Frank offers a number of tasting menus, and of course a very long wine list. Vegetarians don’t have to skip out on the spread, and if your ideal Napa Valley wine country tour includes the ultimate treat, try the Black Truffle Tasting Menu. Reservations are strongly recommended for this popular spot, which the The Wine Spectator compared to “comfy lodges in Burgundy or the Loire.”
Bistro Jeanty
6510 Washington St
Yountville, CA 94599
(707) 944-0103
Chef and owner Philippe Jeanty was raised in the Champagne region of France, on a farm where his family grew their own food. Philippe’s father worked for Moet & Chandon, and Philippe’s first job was with this famous Champagne house. It’s no surprise Bistro Jeanty has earned praise from critics and customers alike, but the menu speaks for itself–appetizers like tomato soup in puff pastry and escargot in garlic pastis butter tease the palate for main courses like rabbit wrapped in pancetta and served over pappardelle pasta. A long list of cheeses offers savory after-dinner options alongside classics like Crêpe Suzette and chocolate mousse.
Bouchon
6534 Washington St
Yountville, CA 94599
(707) 944-8037
Chef Thomas Keller’s second Yountville venture provides the best of two worlds for your Napa Valley wine country tour: authentic French cuisine that showcases the best seasonal ingredients, and a wine program that features local producers. Any meal is good at Bouchon, (winner of a Michelin Star, among other accolades), but you definitely want to stop by for brunch! Start with an order from the raw bar and then try Sturgeon from the Sacramento Delta, served with sunchokes and forest mushrooms. Or go classic with the sourdough waffles with fresh fruit, cream, and syrup. Whatever you choose, don’t forget Les Patisseries, a selection of fine pastries made in-house.
